Country Meadows Pet Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Kathryn Futcher,
a 1983 graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. With
a wealth of experience in small animal practice, Dr. Futcher opened Country Meadows
Pet Hospital in 1995.
Special areas of interest include surgery, treatment of skin conditions, feline
medicine, and care for the older pet.
"I like to develop a close relationship with my clients. I see pets as important family
members, and like to treat them as they were my own. I do always try to keep finances in
mind, and do not do any unnecessary tests or treatments. My favorite cases are tough problems
that require persistence and perseverance.
I have always been an animal lover. The pets in the photo are my cat Quinn (who often comes to supervise
things at the clinic) and dog Kali. Kali has a brain lesion and is now a very special needs dog with
seizures... so I have more recently become very interested in seizure control!
